Hello! My name is Rebekah Yurack, formally Ms. Duvall. I married my best friend, Austin, in July. I am very excited for another school year!  I am thrilled to be at Columbia Elementary School as a kindergarten teacher. This is my 8th year teaching.  I graduated from Athens State University with my bachelors degree. I graduated from UAH with my masters degree in 2019. I am currently pursuing an Instructional Leadership Certification from the University of West Alabama.  I grew up in Madison, Alabama and I have been in the Madison City School System since I started school.  I attended West Madison, Rainbow, Discovery Middle, and Bob Jones High School.  I am fortunate to be working in a school system that did so much for me! 

I have a passion for teaching and love watching children grow.  I believe that every child has value and the potential to learn.  It is my goal to be a positive influence for all of my students and instill in them a passion for life-long learning.  I believe in creating a space where children feel safe and secure.  I am committed to doing whatever it takes to help students succeed!

I have one brother who played baseball at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.  In my spare time, I enjoy being with family and friends.  I love traveling to new places, being outside, and spending time by any type of water.  

I cannot wait to have a fun year of learning and growing together!
