Hello! My name is Monica Lisenby. This is my thirteenth year of teaching kindergarten, and I love teaching at Horizon! It is so much fun to watch my students learn and grow!

My husband and I live here in Madison, and we have a daughter and son that graduated from Madison City Schools. They are both currently attending college.  Aside from teaching, some of my favorite things are spending time with my family, being outdoors, walking, going to Auburn softball and football games, doing puzzles, and going to the beach.  

I previously taught first grade; however, most of my years teaching have been spent in kindergarten. Teaching has always been my passion, and I absolutely love teaching kindergarten!  I am so blessed to be teaching in the best school district!
