Hi, my name is Kelly Brunson, and I am thrilled to be part of the Journey team! I am originally from Kentucky and graduated from Morehead State University with my Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education - Math & Science. I completed my Master's degree in Career and Technical Education, Leadership from Athens State University in December 2024.  This is my 5th year teaching and 3rd year here at JMS. I am thrilled to be teaching various CTE/STEM classes, coach the Science Olympiad team, and serve as the CTE department lead. I am excited to get to know my new students & welcome back those who I have taught previously. Go JAGS!! 

Outside of school, you can find me spending time with my pets. I have a dog (a Basset Hound named Matilda) that I rescued from the Basset Rescue of Kentuckiana & a cat (Maisy) that was adopted from A New Leash on Life. My hobbies include reading, baking, and creating various DIY projects.
