Hello, Jags! My name is Lydia McCullough, but most of my students call me Mrs. M! I am thrilled to be a part of the Journey Middle School team. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in English Language Arts/Secondary Education from Athens State University. This year I will be teaching 6th grade on-level ELA, along with 7th grade honors and on-level ELA. I am also serving as one of the coaches for the JMS volleyball team this school year! 

I have lived in the Huntsville/Madison area for the majority of my life and graduated from a high school in the Madison City School District. I love this area and am so excited to get to teach in this district! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I also love to read and go on outdoor walks.  

I look forward to creating a classroom that facilitates engaging and productive student learning. I will work to encourage each student to grow in their reading, writing, and communication skills. I'm excited for the great school year ahead! Go Jags!
