I am pleased to introduce myself as a new member of Madison City Middle School. I currently serve as a collaborative ELL teacher at Journey & Discovery Middle School. Originally from New York, I moved to Puerto Rico, where I earned my degree in English as a Second Language from Interamericana University in Cupey PR. After several years in ELL instruction, I became a Dyslexia Therapist with June Shelton and subsequently earned my Master's in Teaching from Dallas Baptist University.

 

        As someone who has personally experienced the journey of learning a new language, I find great fulfillment in supporting students as they explore and uncover their unique talents. Witnessing their growth and development is one of the most rewarding aspects of my professional career.

        I have proudly called Madison, Alabama, home for over 14 years. I am married to my high school sweetheart, who works as a Chief Engineer at Redstone Arsenal. Together, we have two sons who progressed through Madison City Schools, graduating from Bob Jones High School. Our eldest is now a Mechanical Engineer at Boeing, while our youngest is pursuing a degree in Systems Engineering.

        In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and traveling with family and friends.
