Mrs. Nichole Murray

My name is Nichole Murray, a native Alabamian, and veteran teacher with 21 years of teaching experience.

After graduating from Albert P. Brewer High School in 1993, I attended the University of North Alabama where I marched in the band. While at UNA, I married the love of my life who joined the Marine Corps and whisked me away to South Carolina. There I attended the University of South Carolina-Beaufort as a PreLaw major/English minor and gained a love for the coast, painting, jazz music, and Low Country Boil (Frogmore Stew).  Upon moving back to Florence in 1998, I changed my major to English Language Arts and received a B.S. degree in English Language Arts/Secondary Education. While teaching full-time, coaching JV cheerleaders, and being a mom to three active boys,  I received my Master's Degree in Education/English Language Arts. In 2012, I became a Bob Jones Patriot and began teaching at the best high school in the state with the most incredible group of teachers. One of my biggest educational accomplishments occurred five years ago when I received my National Board Certification in English Language Arts/Adolescence and Young Adulthood. When I became a National Board Certified Teacher, I joined an amazing group of individuals across the country dedicated to the education of our youth. I continuously strive to design engaging lessons that motivate students to dive deeper into texts, develop strong analytical skills, and elevate their writing abilities.  My teaching style is a combination of project-based learning, collaboration, and individual self-discovery. To keep the students engaged and growing, I am always looking for ways to motivate them and fuse together technological and traditional methods of teaching. I look forward to working with my students and helping them create lifelong learning goals. It's an exciting time to be a Bob Jones Patriot.
