Ms. Jill Ward Bonds
Hi! I'm Jill Bonds, and I'm excited to begin my 21st year in education--and my first year at James Clemens High School. I've taught a variety of subjects over the years (band, choir and ELA), but one thing that's never changed is my passion for helping students grow into confident, capable people.
I'm originally from Huntingdon, Tennessee, but Alabama has become my home. My greatest joy is my family! I'm a proud mom, and we love traveling, laughing, and making memories together. When I'm not teaching, you'll find me planning our next trip, reading a good book, or spending time with the people I love the most.
I have a B.M. and M.M. from the University of Mississippi and just recently finished my Ed.S in Instructional Leadership from Arkansas State University. I was a member of the Pride of the South Marching Band during my time at Ole Miss, and I also worked as a graduate assistant in the band department there. I still love to perform music, and it is a very big piece of my life. I currently serve as an executive board member for the Ole Miss Band Alumni Club through the Ole Miss Alumni Association. I see it as a huge honor to give back to the organization that gave me so much.
I am so thankful to be part of the Jet family this year and I can't wait to see what's ahead! JC is the PLACE TO BE!
