Hello! My name is Mrs. Franks, and I’m proud to be part of the James Clemens faculty. I joined the Jets family in January 2025 and have enjoyed teaching 10th Grade ELA and Yearbook. For the 2025–2026 school year, I’ll be teaching 9th Grade ELA, 12th Grade ELA, and Yearbook, and I’m looking forward to another meaningful year with our students.

I graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in December 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (ELA). I live in Ardmore, Alabama with my husband, our four children, and a variety of pets that always keep life interesting.

I have a deep love of Shakespeare, poetry, and dystopian literature, and I’m passionate about helping students think critically, express themselves through writing, and use their voices with confidence and purpose. This year, I’ll also be focusing on helping students understand the responsible use of AI in writing and research—an increasingly important skill in today’s world.

I’m excited to continue growing with our students and staff here at James Clemens and look forward to the year ahead.
