Hello! 

    I am Mr. Farris and I am so excited to teach my students this year! I grew up in Alabama, in the Muscle Shoals area, and attended UAH, where I received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics, and a certification to teach Secondary Computer Science. I absolutely cannot stand boring learning environments, so I strive to engage my students in their lessons at all possible opportunities. Whether it be learning hands-on, having a deep discussion, or playing lesson-related games, my goal is to keep my students engaged and learning. I also urge my students to take pride in their accomplishments, no matter how big or small. This is my first year teaching at James Clemens, and I know that it will not only be a learning experience for my students, but for me as well. I am always open to suggestions on all aspects of my teaching, and I try to keep student learning as my focus.
