• Application Information

    Applications will open in August 26, 2025.

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    • When the application window opens, you can complete the application by printing out and completing the application or picking up a copy outside A211.
    • Late applications will not be accepted, and students must reapply in the next school year. 
    • Incomplete applications will not be considered for membership.
    • New members will be notified by EMAIL of their acceptance a week after the application window closes. This gives Mrs. Paine time to request transcripts and review applications.
    • Inductions will be held in the spring of 2026, with the other honor societies provided you meet the requirements during the school year.
    • Once notified, you may pay a one-time fee of $40. This includes local and national fees as well as a cord for graduation. Mrs. Paine will hold the cord until your senior year. 

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Complete the application (copies outside of A211 or you may print it)

    • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

    • Must have consecutively completed or be enrolled in at least two (2) Advanced English courses. (For example, you may have taken Pre-AP 9, but you are currently enrolled in Pre-AP 10)

    • Must have an A or A- (90-100%) average in current and previous Advanced English courses.

      •  

       

    • Complete 4 NEHS English-related service hours before the induction in the spring (this includes writing contests through NEHS)

    • Attend meetings. These take place during Refuel in A211. Dates are posted on our club website and on Student/ParentSquare. You are permitted 1 excused absence. 

    • Attend the spring induction.

    • After acceptance, pay a one-time $40 induction fee, which covers both local and national fees and a cord.
