Dr. Kristin Hartland
I have been teaching Mathematics at James Clemens High School since the Fall of 2021 and I am so very excited to help students explore mathematics in a variety of ways!
Prior to joining the Jets team, I taught in the Mathematics and Education departments at UAH and tutored students from around the area virtually. During this time I completed my Doctorate in Mathematics Education from MTSU. Overall, I have 15 years of experience teaching high school mathematics and 7 years of experience teaching at the college level in Texas, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and Alabama.
I live here in Madison with my amazing husband of 20 (almost 21) years who works for NASA, my two extraordinary daughters who also attend school here in Madison City, and our two dogs: Old Man Rango and Young Sweet Rose.
While I am not teaching mathematics, I love spending time with my family, whether it be playing board games, going to the movies, or simply watching a family show. I also enjoy Bowling and have attended the Women's National Competition (multiple times all over the U.S.) which led me to becoming JC's Bowling Coach for a fifth year :-)
