I am thrilled to get this 2024-2025 school year started at Liberty Middle! This is my sixth year at Liberty Middle, although Madison City has been my home for 11 years. My husband is Dawson Brown and we have 5 beautiful children. Our house is full of excitement and there is never a dull moment.

Before teaching, I worked in the medical field for over 12 years and spent several years working in a research lab. Once I began teaching, my research shifted to education and best teaching practices. I am a  published educational researcher, curriculum developer, and I develop and implement district level trainings for dyslexia and language morphology in science, using Greek and Latin roots. However, the job I am most passionate about and love is being a science teacher. As your teacher, I want you to have a positive learning experience in science this year. My goal is to help prepare you for whatever college or career path you may choose.
