Hello! My name is Alysa Simpson, and I am thrilled to join the Liberty Middle School family as a Health Science teacher. With a strong background in nursing and a passion for education, I’m excited to help students discover the world of healthcare and explore whether a future in the medical field might be right for them.

I am a Registered Nurse with experience in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit at Huntsville Hospital, where I had the opportunity to care for patients with complex neurological conditions. For the past five years, I’ve also served as a substitute school nurse, which sparked my love for working with students and supporting their well-being.

This is my first year in the classroom, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring my real-world healthcare experience into a learning environment. My goal is to create an engaging, hands-on space where students can learn about the healthcare industry, develop essential life skills, and maybe even discover a lifelong passion.

Outside of school, I’m a proud mom to three amazing kids—Olivia (10), Nolan (9), and Annie (2). I love spending time outdoors and cheering on my kids at their sports games. Watching them grow, learn, and compete is one of my greatest joys.

I look forward to an amazing year at Liberty Middle and can’t wait to inspire the next generation of healthcare heroes!
