Throughout the fall, the LMS Softball team participates in a mandatory conditioning program designed to prepare athletes for the upcoming season. This program includes strength training (weights), running, and a structured throwing program focused on building arm strength and overall fitness.
Partial practices begin on the first day back from the Christmas holiday break, in accordance with state guidelines. Full team practices typically begin on the third Monday in January.
Students who do not make the program in the fall are encouraged to meet with the head coach to review their evaluation and receive feedback on areas for improvement.
Being a member of the LMS Softball program (player and manager) is a privilege, not a right. Players are held to a high standard of excellence—academically, behaviorally (both in and out of school), and athletically.
Those who are unwilling to uphold these expectations will not remain a part of the program.
