• CodeSpace - Intro to Python is a course for 7th and 8th graders designed to introduce students to the text-based programming language Python using the physical computing devices CodeX and CodeAIR, made by FiriaLabs. The CodeX is a handheld device with six programmable buttons, LED pixel lights, an LCD screen, and an array of sensors. The CodeAIR is an autonomous drone with LEDs, a camera and AI engine, and four motors. This course utilizes FiriaLabs' CodeSpace development platform to teach students the fundamentals of programming with Python. Students will explore and practice concepts through a variety of lessons (CodeSpace missions) and projects and will discover how they can use the power of computing to design for real-world application.

PLTW CSIM is the pre-requisite for this course, but students with some background in programming can be successful in this course without having taken CSIM.
